Choices are endless when it comes to good restaurants in the area. Whatever you feel like eating, a suitable eatery will not be far away. Some of the best fish you will ever taste is served up at The Fisheries Restaurant in Placida, and with a gorgeous view across the bayou to Boca Grande. Johnny Leverock’s along the 776 is also a great fish restaurant situated at Pine Island Marina. Mad Sam’s, just before the bridge onto Manesotta Key, is always popular and caters for all the family. They too have an enviable position overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. You can often watch the dolphins playing as you eat your lunch!
The upmarket and chique town of Boca Grande has many renowned restaurants; Temptations and The Pink Elephant are two firm favourites. Loons On A Limb is a great place for breakfast (if you like pancakes drizzled with Maple Syrup, eggs Sunnyside up and strong coffee!) The locals come here for breakfast, say no more!
South Beach restaurant towards the southern end of Boca Grande is wonderful for its hospitality, menu choice and, lest we forget, position! Situated right on the beach, this restaurant is another very popular destination for locals and, once you have re-fuelled, there is nothing better than taking a stroll along the beach (preferably, shoes off, in the surf) to walk off the calories!
All the familiar American Chain restaurants are within the local vicinity including McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Denny’s and Pizza Hut.
